Learning from Everyday Work: New View of Safety Discussion White-paper

Tuesday 1 March 2022
12:00 - 1:00pm
Webinar

Risks like COVID19, Mental health and Cyber-Security have challenged our traditional perspectives on managing risks of a dynamic nature.

When events happen, the strong signals of how and why it happened become visible and the army of armchair critics become experts in how this could have been prevented. In hindsight, we have little appetite for learning but a culture of blame and fix becomes stronger. Yet when we look deeper into the risk, the signals that became strong were always present, but these weak signals prior to the event were lost in the noise of everyday work.

The whitepaper from Brent Sutton, brings a fresh perspective on Weak Signals and System Resilience and Capacity through the eyes of those that face risk every day. Join us for this event, to hear and learn about “Weak Signals” and how these principles can apply to quality, safety and operational excellence.
