About RiskNZ Learning Groups

Risk Management is built on continuous improvement, in that we must strive to continue to gain knowledge and understanding, reflect on our learnings and apply those improvements across the organisation. Sometimes risk management is an art and other times a science.

Risk management can be both complex and complicated. Something that is complex can not be made simple by it’s very nature. Something that is complicated, can be made simple by breaking it into steps and processes.

When dealing with complex risks we need to create transparency. We create transparency through group learning and reflection. Scientific research has proven that we are able to better solve complex things as a group and by co-constructing knowledge by sharing knowledge and experiences.

The Risk NZ Learning Group sessions will be the platform to drive that for risk professionals.

At the end of the session, a podcast (15-20 mins) will be recorded by the facilitator with the panel to reflect on key learnings gained during the learning group and provide closing comments. These podcasts are then made available to the wider membership.
