NZ Cert in Intelligence

Overview:

The purpose of this qualification is to provide people employed in, or who aspire to be employed in, the intelligence sector with core knowledge of intelligence. It is also suitable for people intending to engage with the intelligence sector.

This qualification is suitable for people who wish to enhance their foundational knowledge of intelligence.

Graduates will be able to apply core intelligence knowledge to contribute effectively to an organisation with an information management or intelligence function.

Graduate Profile Outcomes:

  • Apply knowledge of the intelligence processes and the role of intelligence to support organisational objectives.
  • Apply knowledge of legislation and core ethical values and standards to support acceptable intelligence practice.
  • Apply knowledge of the best practice principles applicable to the intelligence sector for the handling and the management of information.
  • Apply knowledge of the principles and guidelines of risk management in an intelligence context to support organisational objectives.

NZ Cert in Project Management Level 4

Purpose:

The purpose of this qualification is to provide New Zealand business entities with people who can carry out a broad range of support roles as a project team member and take responsibility for some parts of a project.

Graduates of this qualification will benefit New Zealand business entities by increasing project success through constant application of project management skills and supporting the management of a project under broad guidance.

Graduate Profile Outcomes:

  • Apply project management knowledge to support the initiation, planning, execution, monitoring and control, and closing of a project(s)
  • Lead aspects of a project(s) under broad guidance
  • Select and use project management tools and techniques appropriate to the project management task
  • Collaborate and contribute to the achievement of objectives
  • Communicate information clearly to stakeholders
  • Demonstrate professional and ethical behaviour, in a socially and culturally appropriate manner
  • Manage self to contribute to the project’s performance
  • Determine solutions for operational issues in a project(s)

Delivery method:

This programme draws on existing knowledge and experience within the context of the
workplace. The learner completes a self-assessment workbook, collates an evidence portfolio
and participates in an assessment discussion.

NZ Cert in Business (Introduction to Team Leadership)

Purpose:

This qualification is for people who have the potential to be appointed to team leadership roles or who have recently become a team leader.

This qualification will provide New Zealand business entities with people who have the skills and knowledge to contribute to effective team performance and the potential to be effective in a leadership role in a team.

Graduates of this qualification will benefit New Zealand business entities by contributing effectively to team objectives and by developing their team leadership skills.

the workplace. The workbooks are verified by their manager and sent to an external assessor for
assessment.

NZ Cert in Business (First Line Management)

Purpose:

This purpose of this qualification is to provide New Zealand business entities with people who can manage effective teams when employed in first line management roles.

Graduates of this qualification will benefit New Zealand business entities by managing teams to achieve organizational goals; and will be able to manage teams in an effective manner. They will have the skills and knowledge to work as a first line manager with responsibility for the performance of others.

Graduate Profile Outcomes:

The qualification uses two learning outcomes, which in combination deliver the skillsets to achieve the graduate profile outcome statements:

  • Manage a team to contribute to a business entity’s objectives; and
  • Manage workflows.

The qualification must be delivered and assessed in and for the context of a real or realistic business entity and considering the requirements of that context.
