As the forestry industry prepares to restart once the Government drops to Covid-19 alert level 3, fingers are crossed for a spell of weather suitable for spraying.
Tasman Pine Forests Ltd chief operating officer Steve Chandler said pre-plant spraying programmes had been on hold during the level 4 lockdown leaving a “smaller window” of opportunity to get the job done in time for the planned planting.
