Masterton District Council (MDC) & Carterton District Council (CDC).
MDC and CDC are jointly seeking expressions of interest for the position of Independent Chair of their shared Finance, Risk and Assurance Committee. This is a voting role responsible for exercising the Committee’s delegated authority and functions in accordance with its Terms of Reference.
About the Role:
The Chair will provide independent, expert advice to Committee members and ensure rigorous oversight of risk and assurance matters across both councils. The role requires attendance at a minimum of eight scheduled meetings annually (each approximately two hours), with an estimated 6–8 hours of preparation per meeting. Total annual commitment is expected to be 80–100 hours.
