The Lyttelton Port Company (LPC) has a role available for a Principal Risk Advisor, based at the Port – 20-minutes’ drive from the CBD.
About the role:
As our Principal Risk Advisor, you’ll be the driving force behind an enterprise-wide approach to risk, assurance, and compliance at LPC. Reporting into the Chief Legal Risk Officer, this senior role is critical to helping us identify, manage, and mitigate strategic, operational, and regulatory risks in a complex, evolving environment. You’ll lead the development and continual improvement of core frameworks, policies, and tools that support risk maturity and enable confident decision-making across the business. You’ll also bring your influencing and leadership qualities to the fore by developing and delivering an organisation wide LPC regulatory strategy.
Your remit spans enterprise risk, business continuity, compliance, audit programme management and regulatory engagement. You’ll provide insightful, independent advice to senior leaders and the Executive Leadership Team. Working closely with the Chief Legal Risk Officer and Chief Financial Officer (and directly engaging with our Audit and Risk Committee) you’ll help shape our approach to risk and resilience. As a trusted voice in the organisation, you’ll partner closely with teams to embed a culture of accountability, transparency, and proactive risk management that supports our long-term strategy and aligns with our values. Your key external stakeholders will be consultants and auditors, regulatory bodies and government agencies.
