Health boards could lose more than 2400 workers, but some schools are unsure how many staff will turn up for classes with vaccine mandates in place from today.
All education and health workers should have now received their first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine, with midnight on Monday marking the cutoff.
The mandate covers health workers, teachers and support staff who have any contact with children or students, as well as early childhood centre staff and home-based educators. They must be fully vaccinated by January 1, 2022.
