Lockdown prompts 'huge' increase in property inquiries

Numbers of inquiries about property listings have surged over the course of this lockdown, with most agencies reporting a big increase in interest.

Real Estate Institute chief executive Jen Baird said inquiries about properties for sale had been stronger this level 4 lockdown than in the level 4 lockdown of last year.

Confidence remained in the market, and many people were optimistic and wanted to maintain a sense of normality, she said.
