Head of Risk, Assurance and Compliance - University of Otago

The Role

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated professional to lead the Office of Risk, Assurance and Compliance. This is a strategic appointment reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer with the mandate to provide specialist guidance, advice and assurance to the Vice-Chancellor, Chief Operating Officer and the Audit and Risk Committee of the University Council.

Your Skills and Experience

You will be an accomplished leader with a broad range of expertise and professional leadership across risk and assurance management. You will have the ability to lead through influence and deal with highly sensitive information. As a senior member of our team you will have the skills in championing a vision and successfully setting strategic directions within a high profile organisation.

Commitment to continuous improvement and proven ability to perform a range of tasks under competing demands are a must for this position. Understanding of a tertiary education environment would be helpful but is not essential

This is a permanent full-time position.
