Auckland’s return to alert level 3 after four cases of community transmission Covid-19 is an unpleasant surprise for many people, but New Zealand workers have picked up lessons from last time, a survey shows.
Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern announced the three-day lockdown of the Auckland region from midday Wednesday, and a move to level 2 for the rest of the country.
In a survey of 830 Kiwi workers before the announcement, more than 77 per cent felt better equipped to manage their own wellbeing at work if there was a second lockdown.
Tuesday’s news provided a reality check, but people have learned from the first lockdown, said Shannon Barlow, managing director of Frog Recruitment which conducted the survey.
