A Sydney man who tested positive for Covid-19 after spending the weekend in Wellington has been confirmed as having the highly-transmissible Delta variant.
A NSW Health spokesperson stated on Friday evening the person is linked to the Bondi cluster, with cases carrying the Delta variant of the virus – the strain which devastated India earlier in the year.
The Ministry of Health also confirmed the development on Friday night.
